There has been this struggle for many years about effective and wholistic ways to reach out to people of other cultures in a way that will not cause more harm than good.
When I lived and did ministry work in Africa, I got to work with many foreign Christian missionaries and ministries who were excited and passionate about helping people and communities in Africa. Having my feet on the ground and living among the people in the community, I was able to see firsthand the great work these missionaries and ministries were doing for these communities, and I was able to join them in the work they were doing. A few months after the foreign missionaries left, slowly the locals and I started to see where the work of the missionaries and I were getting it wrong and unintentionally creating problems and confusion for the locals. We were all working together but something was missing to where the progress that was made was undone after a few months. You could call this kind of situation “When Helping Hurts.”
WE ARE CHRIST’S EMISSARIES TO THE WORLD

The local’s cultural values and their ways of living were not always taken into consideration when aid and short-term programing was given. In some of these programs, the community was given relief in place of sustainable development which created dependency. These locals at some points could not continue the programs and some of them went back to idol worship as they were left with confusion and mockery once the foreign missionaries left. The deeper needs of the people like community owned development, empowerment, and wholistic strategies were missed and it left the locals dependent on outside support rather than focusing on the resources in their own community for development. The locals continued to depend on outside support rather than collaborative efforts from foreigners and locals working together.
This is where Emissaries Mission comes alongside you. Christ Revival Emissaries Mission International (CREMI) has the slogan name “The Emissaries Mission.” Emissaries Mission is a wholistic outreach and mission based Christian ministry whose purpose is to empower mission teams and individuals who are doing mission work in rural communities abroad.
Our mission is to empower missionaries and mission teams with the knowledge to be confident in going to the unreached people, live among them, teaching them God’s way of living a life, knowing and understanding their culture, living a sacrificial life, learning from them, loving them, and starting with the little they know about Christ and bringing they wholistic, practical gospel to them that they may find salvation. We are here with you on this journey that your mission work abroad will be as effective as possible and will leave a lasting impact with the locals and for God’s glory.
We are called to empower you with the right tool as you are going on a mission, especially in some parts of Africa or Asia. Let’s learn to reach out to people of other culture without creating dependency that could make the lives of the locals worse than found. Learn to do mission work in a way that the locals learn to do things for themselves and take total responsibility and pride for their development and projects with your knowledge and guidance that you bring collaboratively. We are here to empower you to do sustainable mission work with the locals so that even when you are gone, your mission work continues with the locals, doing it themselves. You will be trained to be a trainer for these locals, and in the end, they become agents of change in their communities. And overall, many more souls will be won to the Lord.
Emissaries Mission also work with so many local churches in remote villages in some part of Africa that want to reach out to their communities wholistically but are not empowered enough to do so. So, our mission training team travel abroad to these churches to empower them to do wholistic mission work in their communities by helping to set up their mission teams and train them. We are called to make disciples, and we believe that disciple making is answered most effectively through practical gospel-centered ministry. So, we partner with churches and other agencies of change for soul winning.
